A Skilled RI Master license Electrician in its Commercial/Industrial Electrical manufacturing environment to perform various functions in ensuring operational processes run efficiently and effectively for 4 buildings int the area. The Electrician ensures that all proper standards are met.

The position is responsible for:

· To oversee existing Equipment repair and preventive maintenance.

· To ensure and support production operations in a timely manner to reduce down-time.

· To maintain up to date workorders with CMMS system.

· Cover plant electrical equipment in times of emergency, after hours.

· Company provided use of a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to operate and troubleshoot all systems both low voltage, reg. 120VAC and including high-voltage 480 3@. electrical distribution, equipment and systems controls and emergency electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, access crawl spaces, boiler rooms, mechanical spaces, exterior spaces.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment, and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• Maintain Inventory, assist with packing, and loading of materials bound for project sites.
• Work with crew members when activities require additional workforce outside of mechanical trade.

Other Skills Preferred

· PLC control board troubleshooting.

· CCTV and Fire alarm troubleshooting.

· Data communications troubleshooting.

· HVAC electrical troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

· Rhode Island Master Electrician License

· Experience with high-voltage electrical distribution

· Fire Alarm Experience

· Experience USDA or FDA environments

Educational Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent'
