We are seeking a full-time INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC to be part of a global fine metal refining and recycling operation in Fairless Hills, PA. This person will be an integral part of our company culture. Shifts: 1st shift 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM / mid shift 10am - 6:30pm / 2nd shift 3pm-11:30pm

pay: $27.98 - D.O.E.

Job Purpose:

Monitors and maintains smooth plant operation, including production , support systems, and facilities with little or no supervision. Understands how to disassemble/assemble, repairs, constructs, overhauls, maintains, and installs all types of new and existing processing and packaging equipment and conveying, hydraulic and air systems as required. Performs preventive and predictive maintenance tasks. Responds to calls for service to any line in a timely manner. Independently troubleshoots equipment that is in need of repair or that is operating at a substandard level. Makes repairs and adjustments in a timely fashion to ensure as little downtime as possible. Completes required and appropriate paperwork. Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical tasks to equipment/machinery including changing belts, bearings, and hydraulics
  • Perform equipment or machinery installations and repairs
  • Implement and administrator preventative maintenance on various machines
  • Other duties as assigned by managers such as snow removal and other facility tasks.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Trade school graduate/certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial building maintenance
  • Heavy machine repair experience
  • Ability to work individually with minimal supervision or with a team
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
