Position Summary

Serves as a member of the Corporate Information Systems team providing data analytic support to organization management, including business, finance, and clinical teams. The key initial responsibility for this role will be to design and manage the entire data analysis process, to include fundamental organizational reports within applications, such as reporting tools available within the EHR, to more complex design and development of business intelligence solutions. The analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to create visual and insightful comprehensive reporting and also identify gaps in data due to inefficient workflows or system configurations. The Analyst will also help to ensure data reporting integrity throughout the organization by maintaining knowledge of systems-wide raw data sources such as the EHR (WellSky Interactant), Paycom and CRM, and working closely with diverse staff to define analytic needs in order to identify opportunities for automation and reporting improvements.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of business intelligence solutions based on the requirements and strategic initiatives of business leadership.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including clinical, technical, business and finance teams in defining project specifications, including functional requirements and information needs.
  • Identifies and integrates data from multiple sources and builds dashboards and reports within the EHR, BI platforms, and other available reporting tools that produce interactive and effective data analytics.
  • Proactively identifies data trends and outliers and provides suggestions to the causes, remedies, or process improvements.
  • Generates and distributes reports, ensuring they are shared in the most efficient manner with most appropriate available solutions.
  • Maintains documented inventory of existing reports, routinely testing data validity, and responding to inquiries regarding report details.
  • As product owner, supports BI assets and relative users, ensuring function continuity, evaluating updates and communicating functionality changes and potential impacts to stakeholders, and coordinates escalation of issues requiring vendor support.
  • Takes part in ad hoc reporting projects as needed, including supporting users in determining reporting options within available applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess impact on departments and recognize/communicate potential problem trends.
  • Team oriented with strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Takes ownership in researching solutions and making recommendations.
  • Meets service level standards by responding timely with patience, empathy and courtesy and high attention to details.
  • Self-starter and works well independently, organizing multiple issues and projects based on current priorities.
  • This is a remote position which will require analyst to maintain a suitable work environment in home and occasional travel to corporate offices and facilities.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building reports and dashboards, data analysis and integration, with BI platforms such as Sisence (preferred), Tableau, Power BI
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Must have extensive knowledge of healthcare business operations and experience working with clinical, finance and business leaders within a healthcare system for data analytic needs.
  • Experience with EHR systems
  • Bachelors Degree in Health Informatics, Information Science, Computer Science, Busines, Finance or related field preferred
