Information Technology (IT) Technician
The IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining technology systems within the organization. In addition, the IT Technician will be a reference point for all IT-related queries at the user level, responding to user needs promptly and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties. The IT Technician reports to the IT Coordinator.
POSITION DUTIES
Technical
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Repairing and replacing damaged hardware
- Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers
- Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level
- Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting
- Conducting daily backup operations
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- This position will spend a majority of its time in a processing plant environment
Planning & Strategy
- Assist the IT Coordinator with identifying the IT system's needs and researching alternative options
Quality Control
- Ensuring electrical safety standards are met
- Managing technical documentation
