Instructional Designers in this role are empowered to build tailored learning opportunities that meet the needs of our diverse clientele. Candidates will be asked to provide a portfolio of work samples.

Must be eligible to work in the US. No sponsorships are available at this time. Requirements:
  • Create quality training solutions that include but are not limited to written course content for in-person and virtual sessions, systems documentation, reference material, and eLearning using instructional design models and principles
  • Write course design documents, learning objectives aligned with lower levels in Bloom’s Taxonomy, course content, practice scenarios, scripts, activities, and basic learner-centric assessments
  • Maintain source documents in a content management system
  • Consult with team members, clients, and subject matter experts regarding training needs and identifying best business practices
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to parse content
  • Document progress and time in a project management system
  • Complete project deliverables within established deadlines
  • Measure effectiveness of training at minimum of Kirkpatrick Level 1
  • Peer review training deliverables for accuracy

Required Skills:

  • Possess basic knowledge of instructional design principles, practices, and adult learning theory
  • Possess basic knowledge of the needs assessment process
  • Possess basic knowledge of best practices related to accessibility and 508 requirements
  • Possess basic knowledge of Agile and Waterfall processes
  • Be able to develop a variety of training deliverables using at least one authoring tool, such as Microsoft Word or PowerPoint
  • Be able to use analytical skills to convert information and needs into sequenced web-based and classroom training deliverables
  • Possess writing skills to create concise and effective training deliverables with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be action-oriented and able to balance multiple projects
  • Be approachable by being open, friendly, and flexible with all team members
  • Be comfortable meeting with a team to collaborate and discuss progress
  • Be able to remain composed under pressure
  • Be able to effectively cope with ambiguity, move forward without all the answers in place, and not get distressed when things are up in the air
  • Be able to balance time and tasks, focus on priorities while keeping an eye on all tasks that need to be completed to bring project deliverables in on time
  • Be able to effectively, respectfully, and pro-actively communicate with team members and subject matter experts
  • Be able to learn and troubleshoot technical issues with systems, applications, and tools with some guidance

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, technical writing, or a combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field, or equivalent academic and work experience combined
  • Basic experience using instructional design models, principles, strategies, and techniques
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall projects preferred
  • Experience developing content for a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred
  • Experience using a Content Management System (CMS) preferred
  • Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and SharePoint experience required
