Growing, family-owned insurance agency in Asheboro is seeking an experienced insurance customer service representative for personal and commercial lines accounts.

This is an opportunity to work for an independent insurance agency that has been in business since 1993 and has contracts with over 20 insurance companies. Agent would work as a Customer Service Representative servicing a book of business of around $1-$2 million in premium. Pay depends on prior experience/knowledge and amount of premium you would be able to service.

EDUCATION/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• North Carolina Property & Casualty Insurance License (active)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Applicant must have at least (3) years prior experience in the property & casualty insurance field which includes writing and/or servicing personal and/or commercial lines accounts.

JOB DUTIES/INFORMATION (include the following but are not limited to)

• Work day is from 8:30am-5:00pm.
• (1) hour lunch break provided daily.
• This is a salaried "in-person" position (Not remote).
• Book of business would be personal lines and small commercial accounts. Can include larger commercial acounts if you are comfortable.
• Waiting on customers by taking payments in person and over the phone.
• Make endorsements/policy changes for insureds.
• Meet customers in person and discuss on the phone to provide quotes, review policies, answer questions and make policy changes as needed.
• Answer questions about potential claims and report claims directly to insurance carriers.
• Track all customers assigned to agent in our agency management system. (Renewals, quotes, cancellations, etc).
• Assist producer with quotes for new business.
• This position is not a producer or commission based , but agent would quote some new business from call-ins, customer referrals and producer leads.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
