Job Summary

We’re looking to fill the Insurance Sales Assistant position with a well-spoken, energetic, and confident individual who will be a strong lead generator in the field. The successful candidate is a sales-oriented, self-starter who can initiate the responsibility of collecting contact information from potential customers. He/she can intimately relate to people face-to-face and relay information without coming across as aggressive.

This is a canvass style position that entails working with low-income residents in various communities (community events, food banks, churches, tables and tents, door-to-door, etc.) to generate qualified leads for an insurance company. Leads generated by canvassers are assigned to Insurance specialists, who contact and enroll customers into qualifying health insurance plans.

Essential Job Functions

  • Field Work: Develop a well thought out prospecting plan; canvass 4-5 days per week to generate qualified leads while engaging in door-to-door campaigning; and work independently to meet and exceed minimum shift quotas.
  • Administration: Collect data from potential customers; ensure maintenance, management, and security of customer data; and submit generated leads to manager.
  • Communication: Perform regular check-ins with managerial staff; prioritizes work and actions in order to achieve established sales goals.

Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to canvass in the field up to 5 days/week.
  • Availability to work on weekends and some holidays as needed.

Base pay is $15/hr, Average pay for canvassers is $500-$1200 weekly depending on work ethic, ambition, and drive.

Hours are flexible, pay is lucrative, and work is rewarding!

No experience is required. Training is provided. Prior canvassing experience is a plus. Prior sales/marketing experience is helpful but not required.

Must be 18 years or older and available to start immediately.
