We are looking for an Internal Communications Specialist II to support TransUnion’s growing Internal Communications team and help inform, engage and inspire TU’s global associate base.

What You'll Bring:

This role is designed for a well-rounded communications generalist. You will work across our Internal Communications team to support a wide range of strategic campaigns, develop materials for tactical communications and engage associates with compelling content. This position will also directly support our enterprise-level strategic communications and channels.

Impact You'll Make:

Specifically, you will:

  • Draft content for TU’s digital, people and experience channels, including newsletters, company intranet, email, key messages, presentations, leadership events and more
  • Interview subject matter experts across the organization and write stories that support our key enterprise-wide strategic themes and strategic priorities
  • Work closely with our Internal Communications Manager, Strategic & Enterprise Communications, to help ensure our enterprise-wide strategic themes are prioritized in our internal communications; collaborate with TU’s Global Communications sub-teams and subject matter specialists to find opportunities to proactively communicate on enterprise priorities
  • Support the development of a variety of communication deliverables across the various functions supported by our Internal Communication team
  • Prepare and coordinate content for production
  • Participate in enterprise event support, coordination and execution
  • Have a strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple streams of work


What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate is a proactive, strategic storyteller with the following attributes:

  • Two or more years of in-house corporate communications, agency, or journalism experience.
  • Strong writer with versatile communications skills, an interest in business and the ability to translate complex issues/materials into accurate, compelling and digestible content.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and tailor content for specific audiences and an understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs.
  • Willingness to embrace technology and applications; ability to develop and edit PowerPoint presentations.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced team with an ability to meet deadlines and adapt/change direction when called upon.
  • Self-starter with strong sense of initiative, focused on results; ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and, at times, within ambiguous and undefined circumstances.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and influence with leaders and collaborators at all levels.

What We'd Love to See:

  • Experience working in a global, multi-cultural environment
  • Experience working in the financial services, information services or technology sector
  • Sharepoint and/or enterprise communications and workplace platform experience
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese

This position will be hybrid and based in either Reston, VA or Chicago, IL.
