Job summary

Update records and maintain levels of material or finished goods in a timely manner, maintain accuracy.

Location: Atlanta, GA

Schedule: 1st Shift

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for insuring the accuracy of the inventory

2. Performs accurate and timely inventory counts and recounts as required

3. Communicates discrepancy's to Inventory Analyst

4. Reviews receiving documentation for accuracy

5. Resolves receiving discrepancies

6. Performs research and resolves inventory discrepancies within level of authority

7. Performs inventory research to satisfy pending shipments

8. Places and removes inventory from hold status' as required

9. This is a day shift position that includes occasional evenings and weekends

10. Supports in the creation of standard work for inventory maintaining process

11. Utilizes technology in order to track and report material levels and location

12. Train new members on work tasks

13. Operates material handling equipment to assist in counting or moving stock and parts.

14. Performs any additional tasks assigned by Inventory Team Leader

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

18 years or older

Experienced with computers and Warehouse Inventory Software

Prior experience in cycle counting or material handling desirable.

Mathematical skill: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Able to work over 40 hrs a week during peak season or when necessary, this may include weekends and physical inventory dates

Language skills English proficiency required: able to read and comprehend documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, short correspondence, and memos. Able to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations. Able to write legibly.

Able to become certified on forklift and other material handling devices

Able to use computer and/or barcode scanner to learn business computer systems such as MFG-Pro

Good interpersonal skills and able to interact positively and work cooperatively in a team environment.

Self-motivated and willing to change priorities as needed.

Willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities for personal and job development.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two person lift, or a lift assist

Bend, twist, squat, kneel, walk and/or stoop repetitively 6 to 8 hours per day

Stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day

Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions

Moderate physical exertion

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);

Warehouse experience preferred

Experience with computers and Warehouse Inventory Software
