The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for counting material and product inventory balances. This role will research inventory on hand count variances through AX Dynamics displays. The objective of this role is to maintain the inventory levels to prevent reoccurring errors and keep inventory levels accurate to support productions needs. It is also required to work closely with the Production, Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to develop the production run plan and communicate material shortages and availability daily.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinates the materials for upcoming orders
  • Manages finished goods and batch orders to consume proper materials or ingredients to get to a finished status so warehouse can proceed with next steps
  • Cycle count and reconcile the in-house inventory balances at HBC daily
  • Research and determine cause of order or material errors and communicate errors, create solutions or proposals to errors so they prevent reoccurrence
  • Troubleshoot and rectify inventory issues that arise
  • Work with finance to address any accounting or purchasing problems and respond accordingly
  • Strong cross functional communication skills. Must have the ability to meet the information needs of the team through regular and effective communication and follow-up
  • Work with production/warehouse to correct inventory variances
  • Support inventory accuracy by performing systematic adjustments/ inventory moves within AX to ensure accurate material usage and returns to inventory
  • Start and close batches and verify that consumption is accurate
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and report on them to the necessary parties
  • Work directly with vendors to order and manage non inventory items necessary for production orders.
  • Manage orders and supplies to make sure all materials are onsite for each order, work with scheduling and procurement to see if materials are not here to move order to how to manage.
  • Assist warehouse as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a high-volume warehouse or a related area.
  • Forklift experience required
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably Microsoft AX.
  • Food processing or packaging experience
  • Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and food quality standards is strongly preferred.
  • Self-directed and personally motivated
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Good team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Good attendance and performance track record.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

HOURS AND PAY: Positions are a straight 2-2-3 schedule. Day (6a-6p) shifts are available at our facility in Neenah, WI. Starting pay is $23.54 per hour.
