Job Overview

The IT Engineer is responsible for the design, configuration, and monitoring critical IT systems keeping the systems functioning in a stable and secure operational mode. Ensures system requirements are established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, systems risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, systems test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for policy development and analysis; will interface with external entities including vendors and other organizations and agencies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and performs root cause analysis on systems issues in order to ensure quick service restoration of problems as per best practices.
• Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for enterprise-wide systems and networks and assists in the documentation of processes, procedures, and resolution information.
• Integrates and supports new and existing architectural features into infrastructures, implements artifacts, provides analysis of system features and relates existing system/applications and security to future needs and trends, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues.
• Supports the Microsoft Exchange and Teams application, including resolving incidents and requests, communicating new features to the organization and maintain the infrastructure service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• An demostratable understanding of Microsoft Exchange (On-Premise and Azure) as well as Microsoft Teams.
• The ability to create PowerShell scripts to perform administrative functions in the Microsoft environment.
• Review projects of various scope and complexities in order to support business objectives. Update management of evolving development technologies and mark recommendations to aid in the support and budgetary needs of the various systems.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a servant leader mentality
• Ability to think quick on their feet and outside the box to resolve difficult situations
• Strong Analytical and self problem solving abilities
• Communication and cross collaboration skills

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Exchange administration
• Microsoft Teams administration
• Microsoft PowerShell
