An
IT Field Service Technician to join our team! As an IT Field Service Technician you will troubleshoot user hardware and provide one-on-one assistance to end users of the credit union in a friendly, respectful, courteous, and professional manner. In this role you will perform hardware installations at all our branch and department locations, run basic diagnostic testing, and remotely work with IT Support Specialists to resolve issues while in the field. As an IT Field Technician you will maintain an inventory of assets and schedule replacements to adhere to our hardware lifecycle. You will also use software to image Computers and Laptops before working with end users to replace their current devices. Additionally you will work within our ticketing system to coordinate branch/department visits as needed for on-site troubleshooting.

As an IT Field Service Technician (Contract) you will…

  • Maintain records of service calls and interactions within the internal ticketing system.
  • Work with Service Delivery Manager to plan and schedule hardware replacements for the upcoming year.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair units while in the field.
  • Schedule branch visits and prioritize trouble tickets by severity.
  • Travel to all branches as requested for onsite support.
  • Educate employees on preventive hardware maintenance and provide general customer service on the phone and in person.
  • Use provided software to image new PC/Laptops with standardized credit union software. Prepare PC/Laptops for final installation
  • Assist with Branch Remodels and PC/Laptop lifecycle replacements for Credit Union.
  • Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, instant messages, and aid as necessary.
  • Maintain and organize asset management inventory.
  • Meet regularly with Manager to provide status of ongoing replacements and hardware troubleshooting.

Our ideal candidate will bring to the team…

  • One-year experience in a Help Desk environment required.
  • 6 months of troubleshooting hardware in person or over the phone required.
  • Comptia A+ or equivalent certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Continuing education in the Information Technology field preferred.

In addition:

  • Must be bondable
  • Employer sponsorship to secure or maintain employment authorization not available


Your compensation:

$23.46 – $29.33 per hour – based upon relevant experience.

Your hours:

An in-person schedule Monday – Friday.

In your in-person role you will be engaging with team members on a day-to-day basis as the face of Sound Credit Union! Your active participation with coworkers and managers is an essential part of your impactful work.

Contract Duration: 6 month contract with strong potential to be extended into a permanent position.
