Are you enthusiastic, eager to learn, have a big personality, and love singing with kids and families? Tkiya is seeking a music teacher in the Philadelphia Area to work with preschool children, as well as families with babies/toddlers, and elementary aged kids. We provide a lot of training as part of our process so students and others new to the field are welcome to apply!
In Center City you will be leading preschool music programming on alternating Wednesday/Thursday mornings for 2 hours, a Baby & Me once a week on Thursdays, afterschool music for 45 minutes once a week on Thursdays, and two Grownup & Me classes in the mornings with exact days TBD. You will also be leading Saturday morning tefillah with elementary-aged kids for a total of two hours in Merion Station and a Grownup & Me program on Sunday mornings in Delaware and/or Montgomery Counties. Once we have the right teacher, we look forward to building this position more and hope you will want to grow your work with Tkiya.
Tkiya creates participatory music experiences that meet participants where they are - physically, psychologically, and spiritually - to find their unique connection to Jewish culture and community. Our current focus is on families with young children and we partner with 60+ organizations, engaging with thousands of families each year to inspire a love for Judaism. Most of our programming is in the NYC area, California Bay Area, and some in Rochester, Philadelphia, and more metro areas to come this year.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
