Job Coach/Mentor

ABEDI Inc provides in home and community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for motivated, reliable, enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team of job coaches and mentors, providing Day Program support to adults in our adult day program between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm. You will work one on one with our participants in the community and onsite, providing behavioral support and mentoring in gaining independence, skills, community integration and employment readiness. Top candidates will have experience working as a job coach or mentor, experience in special education and/or ABA, and behavior management. Requirements:

· 18 years of age with a High School Diploma

· Experience with working with individuals with developmental disabilities

. Experience working with aggresive adults

· Valid CA Drivers license and clean driving record

· Pass criminal background check and LiveScan fingerprinting

· Available to work Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm

· Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

· All staff are certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention CPI training which can be provided once hired.

· CPR and First Aid certification is required upon hire

Responsibilities:

· Provide one on one coaching and support to individuals with developmental disabilities who may engage in challenging behaviors

· Work on individualized support plans and goals in Self-Care, Self-Advocacy, Community & Social Skills and Vocational Skills

· Transport individuals served to and from their home to community sites, employment sites and on-site day program location

· Follow individualized service plans tailored to the individual needs of each participant

· Collect and record data, document session notes, track mileage
