The Jr. System Administrator reports to the IT Manager and interacts cross functionally with Operations, Information Technology, Sales, and Finance to coordinate and oversee the collaborative development of process implementation.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor performance of ERP system(s) and applications usage.
  • Assist to develop and Execute ERP and business process best practices across the organization.
  • Contribute to strategic planning meetings and provide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, cost vs. benefits, and impacts on departmental processes and goals.
  • Installation for upgrades and patches for the enterprise ERP system.
  • Create and oversee all necessary technical checklists to ensure completion of upgrades.
  • Counsel users on technology changes that will impact work processes.
  • Research and evaluate emerging ERP technologies.
  • Holds training and informational sessions to teach employees how to use EXCEL and ERP workflow and related Project Management applications.
  • Code, test and troubleshoot programs.
  • Assist end users with the ERP, Document Management System etc.
  • Development of crystal reports.
  • Write SQL reports.
  • Writes event manager scripts and assists with building forms.
  • Develop custom programs with oversight from the IT Manager.

Experience/Skills Requirements

  • Report creation required (e.g., Crystal).
  • ERP continual process improvement and implementation.
  • Four (4) years of business and/or ERP implementation experience.
  • Experience with systems and database administration.
  • Skilled in multiple technical environments and knowledge of a specific business area, ideally distribution (and more specifically direct store delivery).
  • 4+ years' experience in Systems Administration.
  • Process improvement expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent documentation skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Possesses knowledge of best practices for maintaining information security.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work and learn under direction supervision.
  • Intermediate understanding of SQL query scripting.
  • Previous coding experience within relational databases, preferably an Oracle environment. Minimum 1 year Crystal Report Development, 2 years PL.
  • SQL experience.
