The Role

This position will have the opportunity to contribute to the creative development of all 12 (and growing) brands – from growth brands like The Henry and Culinary Dropout, to our boutique restaurants like Olive & Ivy. You must be a conceptual thinker, passionate about creating meaningful, creative, and effective marketing and can take it all the way to the finish line. The job requires tenacity, experience, good judgment, and above all, a great attitude.

This position will work closely with the Creative Director, Creative Designer, and other influential people at Fox. Responsibilities

  • Design digital and print assets, run quality control checks of all assets prepared for hand-off, ensure that assets are compatible with visual style/branding guidelines.
  • Conceptualize, design, and direct the execution of large scale format and environmental design pieces.
  • Focus on telling actionable visual stories with a focus on great user experience and speaking directly to the consumer.
  • Collaborate with creative and marketing partners to develop concepts and strategic ideas that can be effectively executed within a variety of consumer channels, and a range of mediums (including but not limited to print, web, social, and fully integrated campaigns).
  • Receive direction and present proposed design solutions while meeting deadlines on a variety of projects simultaneously. Ensure work is reviewed/approved before presentation.
  • Present work to peers, partners and management in a clear, professional manner. Where appropriate, include research that will support chosen strategies.
  • Work with external vendors to provide creative feedback on outsourced projects and communicate brand updates to these vendors as needed.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and organized set of files for project archive and utilizes the departments digital assets management systems and file servers.
  • Stay current with design, photography and digital/print production techniques, proposing new technologies and sharing this knowledge with the team.
  • Ensure all design layouts are optimized for end-use and delivered according to specifications, production standards, color quality standards and preflight requirements.
  • Complete retouching on files required for internal presentation and work with Production Manager for final delivery.
  • Adhere to the demands of a production and marketing schedule and be aware of release schedules and all relevant deadlines.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure that all graphics/visual elements support a focused point of view.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design
  • 4-6 years’ professional experience in an agency, corporation, or small business
  • A portfolio of work that includes examples of conceptual design, advertising, environmental design/large format, branding
  • An excellent eye for detail, consistency, and accuracy, with impeccable design skills
  • Ability to originate unique design elements and layouts that align with strategic objectives
  • Keen sense of typography
  • Organized and reliable
  • Firm grasp of print-production processes and related technologies
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to execute on simultaneous projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere
  • Participate in the development of the creative brief
  • Understanding of design elements: composition and color as well as seasonal design trends
  • Copywriting experience a plus
