CommunityWorks, LLC has been a premier behavioral health services agency since February 2000. We provide a wide array of services to the most vulnerable populations in the state: two juvenile detention centers, a 12-bed male group home, various school based programs, two day treatment programs, substance abuse services, office based counseling, anger management classes, and Parent Child Interactive Therapy.
The Pottawatomie County Juvenile Detention Center is located in Shawnee, OK and provides residential care for 14 youth who have been arrested and are waiting for a court hearing and/or placement in a treatment facility. This is a maximum security short-term holding facility that houses male and female juvenile detainees.
The Juvenile Detention Direct Care Staff-Level I is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation of the detention center that houses juvenile delinquents. The position will assist in activities for the detention center including the supervision of juveniles to ensure the safety and security of staff, residents and the facility; the assistance in completion of personal hygiene; assistance with daily dietary and nourishment needs; assisting and facilitating activities of daily living and program activities, completing required documentation, and all other duties as assigned. This position requires availability to work weekends, evenings and overnight shifts. Opportunity for advancement available.
Must have high school diploma or GED, be 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
