The Apportioner is responsible for controlling the flow of food preparation by ensuring that ingredients for each dish order are assembled and presented to the Cooks for preparation. This position is accountable for reading the POS printout of each guest order, assembling all ingredients, ensuring dishes meet Company standards.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.65/ Hour *

Essential functions:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Speak and understand basic English
• Some previous cook/kitchen experience is required
• Adhere to food safety requirement

Food Safety:

• Food Handler Certification

Job Requirements:

• Lift 20 lbs with one hand, stand without sitting for up to 5 hours, reach at least 36" horizontally or vertically
• Perform repetitious cutting/slicing motions at high speed and in a safe manner using a Chinese cook's knife
• Practice good personal hygiene at all times
• Follow instructions and procedures without deviation through many repetitions and without constant supervision
• Work under pressure at peak periods

Store Conditions:

• Counter areas often hot with steam and food vapors
• Hot kitchens with high noise levels
• Limited work space depending on location
• Varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business needs

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking and standing for long periods of time
• Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
• Occasionally reaches high storage shelving with the use of step ladder
• Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs
• Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs
• Performs repetitive tasks
• Works efficiently in a fast paced environment with hot and cold foods and beverage
