Kitchen Helper Job at State College Area School District
General food service work helping to prepare and serve meals in the school kitchens.
Positions are currently available at Mt Nittany Middle School, State High, and as a kitchen floater (different locations as assigned on a daily basis). Available positions are 3.5 to 4.5 hours per day between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM on days when school is in session.
$15.95 per hour.
Must be able to read and write English, do simple arithmetic, and follow oral and written instructions. Must have a general understanding and appreciation for food safety and HACCP principles. Must be customer service oriented, having a caring and pleasant personality. Must have the capacity to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations and to work effectively under pressure. Manual dexterity, physical strength, and stamina needed. Job requires employee to be standing or walking the entire work shift. Regular lifting of 10-20 pounds required; occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
