We are seeking energetic, skilled Packer - Downline (all shifts) candidates for our facility in Arkansas City, KS.
JOB SUMMARY:
Our Downline Packer associates are responsible for product coming off the line from the time it is filled until it has been boxed and stacked onto pallets, ready to go to the warehouse for storage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load bundles of boxes into machines
- Operate labeler and ink-jet printer
- Operate box erector and case packer
- Load pallets onto conveyors
- Stack cases on pallets
- Use wrenches & pallet jacks
- Manually clean equipment
- Contribute to our excellence with a positive and flexible attitude
- Ensures full compliance with all quality assurance standards, especially good housekeeping and overall cleanliness of products and work areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School / GED required
- 2-3 years’ experience or equivalent employment preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to
50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
