Job Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB: Assists with the operation and performs point of care testing at the off site testing locations.Assists with the receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs point of care testing and assists with operations at off site laboratory locations.
- Follows procedures for the proper evaluation and disposition of laboratory specimens as stated in the Specimen Collection Manual and reference laboratory manuals.
- Interacts/communicates with all patients, physicians and coworkers in a collaborative manner.
- Promotes patient safety by compliance with Organizational/Departmental policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent
Experience: health care experience preferred, but not required
Training - 2 - 4 Weeks
