- Creates strategic Operation Procedures and makes assessment on various ancillary workflow stations and interfacing projects.
- Provide technical leadership and systems support for lab based hardware and software applications.
- Partners with team to evaluate, develop, implement and maintain systems to improve processes streamline workflow and increase lab productivity.
- Serves as a Project /Team Lead for coordinating system designs
- Works with EIS Management team to review resources, work methods, performance standards, and recommends solutions.
- Develops system code based upon accepted standards within the application specific software projects
- Continuously conducts analysis and provides solutions for Lab systems automation functions to support end user ability.
- System set up- Full Integration and aggressive Interoperability projects, HL7 interfacing with various outside hardware software modules.
- Interfaces: Instruments,Reference labs, Reporting, Archived Sunquest and CoPath data, SQL database, Meaningful use, Integrated Billing
- Other Technology– Hardware– Software
- Provides Training to laboratory staff including phlebotomists and nursing/clinical staff
- Provide staff mentoring and participates in meeting in a cross functional environment.
- Continuous Testing, Interfacing – Data Innovations, and Quality Control
- Evaluates, Critical Calls Routed to customer service
- EMR Communication Log
- Continuously runs reports on historical data from Sunquest accessed through SAP Web Intelligence (WEBI) or Microsoft SQL
- Real-time data posting of significant data, based on HL7 interface feeders from source systems.
- Multi-source data integration for multiple LIS and Pathology systems.

Experience and Requirements:
- 5+ years Software Experience: Sunquest LIS, CoPath,
- or similar LAB Informatin Systems experience
- Bachelor degree in Technology Clinical OR equivalent work experience
- OR Certified MCSC or similar Technology certification preferred
- Programming and scripting languages
- Full software project life cycle tools experience
- 4+ years experience with Clinical Systems EMR, LIS, HL7 Interoperability,
- FULL SDLC experience
- Design, build, test, configure, implement and post go live support/troubleshooting
- MUST have built, configured, and design Lab or Pathology applications Sunquest ideally.
