JOB DESCRIPTION
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Process laboratory specimens with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, completeness, safety, and compliance.
- Follow proper specimen identification procedures in the execution of all job duties.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Distribute specimens to the appropriate testing areas in the laboratory
- Receive incoming phone calls, document and follow through on incoming request
- Prepare laboratory specimens from other facilities
- Investigate, document, and resolve specimen issues to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
- Meet departmental turnaround time goals.
- Effectively use computer options relevant to job duties in section
- Properly store excess specimen samples
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Training:
- Not applicable
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical experience is preferred
