Laboratory Technician Job at Kelly
Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity located in East Chicago, IN.
Four openings are available:
- First shift (Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm)
- Second shift: (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm - 11pm)
- Third shift (Sun to Thurs, 11pm-7am)
- Rotating shift could include: Th-Sun, F-M, Sat-Tues, or M,W, Sat, Sun. Hours would be 6am-4:30pm, so would be 4, 10 hour days. (Will always include weekends.)
Essentials duties of the Lab Tech includes:
- Entry level wet chemistry laboratory duties
pH, moisture, oxidation, titration
Daily Processing of waste samples to include but not limited to: Fuel compatibility, bomb calorimetry, GC analysis, metal analysis
Daily equipment calibration
Calorimeter, pH meter, GC-MS, GC-FID
Additional laboratory support in the areas of standards preparation, record keeping and other general laboratory duties
Requirements for the Lab Tech:
Candidate must be willing to work in an industrial setting with limited outside exposure and be willing to handle hazardous and non-hazardous wastes with appropriate PPE.
A successful candidate will have minimum of High school diploma with strong scientific background. College courses or degree preferred in a science related field.
Strong candidates will possess a great work ethic with the ability to work alone as well as in a group.
