Lakeview Center Customer Service Representative

Job Summary: The Lakeview Center Customer Service Representative (CSR) forms positive relationships with customers by answering questions, providing information about district programs and events, and processing activity registration requests in a manner that is courteous and professional.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide information to the public regarding programming at Gillson Park and throughout the District
  • Process registration requests for lessons, activities, facility rentals, beach/pool passes, dog beach passes, and parking passes
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing the needs of customers in person and via phone
  • Comply with established Park District and site procedures
  • Actively support the agency's risk management protocol that will effectively control and reduce accidents
  • Obey the practical safety rules, regulations and procedures established by the Safety Committee, attend and participate in required safety trainings
  • Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices or conditions to the immediate supervisor
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs

Required Skills/Abilities (Technology, Mathematical, Language):

  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and effective manner
  • Ability to use computers and recreation software
  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience using RecTrac software
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Basic mathematical skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • At least two (2) years related experience preferred

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit and climb or balance
  • Tolerate a moderate to high noise level at times
  • Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
