MAC Air Group is an owner-operated full-service aviation company located in Portland, Maine and founded in 1959. MAC Air Group's Aircraft Maintenance division services piston driven general aviation aircraft and turbine aircraft such as Hawkers, Citations, Challengers, King Airs and others. We are currently seeking an experienced Lead A&P Mechanic with solid business jet aircraft experience. Strong supervisory experience is desired for this position.

Lead A&P Mechanic
General Description: The Lead A&P Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that the performance of maintenance is accomplished to FAA performance rules, which includes the following summary.
Responsible To: Director of Maintenance
Summary:
a. Maintain the knowledge and qualifications necessary for this position.
b. Administer the technical aspects of the maintenance operation.
c. Ensures the overall maintenance performed is in compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions and/or other technical data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
d. Schedule and distribute maintenance functions in a manner that promotes a consistent flow of articles through the repair station.
e. Provide assistance, guidance and direction to all maintenance technicians.
f. Oversee the maintenance performed by any individual unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools used.
g. Ensure that any forms completed by maintenance technicians are accomplished in accordance with the instructions provided in Appendix A of this manual.
h. Ensure that the appropriate technical personnel accomplish all identified work order inspection items.
i. Ensure that completed work order packages are submitted to the Chief Inspector for final disposition.
j. Ensure that the facility in maintained in a clean and orderly manner.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
