We bring backgrounds ranging from boat building and furniture building, to plaster and tile expertise, to tree house construction, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading blueprints, plans, specs and instructions
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Rough framing of walls, ceilings, flooring and roofs
  • Finish carpentry including hanging crown moldings, installing window/door casings and baseboards, installing fixtures and hardware, cabinet installation
  • Shoring erection, repair/replacement of patios, decks, doors, cabinets, appliances and necessary demolition
  • May also include drywall installation, tape and texture work, and painting
  • Checking the accuracy of completed work
  • Other qualifications and responsibilities might arise as deemed necessary by circumstances
  • Supervising crews and subs on site

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years carpentry experience and knowledge of remodeling
  • Preferred experience in sustainable materials and construction assemblies
  • Proficiency in all trades, including; frame to finish carpentry, electrical wiring, plumbing, masonry, and painting a strong plus
  • Must have a strong work ethic and take pride in all work
  • The ability to work efficiently without wasting materials and possessing reliable transportation and tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must possess ability to read building codes, blueprints, and drawings
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and tools of the trade required
  • Reference check and Background check will be conducted, if needed.

We offer a highly competitive hourly rate, 50% health insurance, a matching IRA plan, and a one-time bonus profit share at the end of year one with a to-be-determined regular profit share after three years. (A rental house in Sheffield, MA for $1,600 rent/mo. plus utilities is also a possibility).
