General Purpose: Our team of Lead Press Operators operate and maintain all aspects of an Offset Printing Press.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews job tickets before job runs and identifies all variables before set-up to ensure jobs are run accurately
- Examines printed sheets during press run in accordance with quality assurance standards
- Monitors machine operations to detect print issues and makes any necessary adjustments
- Meets the estimated time for make-ready, run, and wash-up
- Performs preventative maintenance on press such as lubrication, replacement of rollers and small parts, and any other minor adjustments needed
- Follows all safety policies and directs safety of crew
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a sheet fed press
- Have a good color perception
- Experience with densitometers, spectrophotometers, color scanning equipment, calculators, computer terminals, gloss meters, PH/conductivity meters
- Ability to work with UV (Ultra-Violet) inks and coatings
- Ability to work overtime as needed; overtime may be required during busy periods
- Ability to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $37.50 per hour
