Insurity’s Next Lead Financial Analyst

As the Lead Financial Analyst working on Revenue Operations team, you will assume a highly visible role within the organization responsible for delivering accurate and timely sales metrics to senior leadership. You will work closely with the Director of Revenue Operations to maintain the operational gold standard for sales forecasting, reporting and analytics. Be a critical thinker, manage complex contract scenarios and find the story within the data. This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with exposure to Executive Leadership, Sales, Finance, Legal, Customer Success & Professional Services teams while evolving your skills alongside an experienced Revenue Operations team.

What Our Lead Financial Analyst Will Do

  • Develop a complete understanding of our standardized metrics reporting policies and own the review of closed bookings to ensuring financial reporting accuracy
  • Rigorously maintain all assigned reporting deliverables and present monthly in front of senior leadership as required
  • Perform detailed analysis on won/lost deals, sales pipeline growth, commission payments and other sales KPI's to monitor trends and provide insights across the business
  • Govern the Insurity Sales Compensation Plans and assume responsibility of quarterly commission calculations using the current automated ICP software program
  • Provide direct support to Director of Rev Ops with the creation of annual revenue budgets, sales compensation plans and team quota setting
  • Support timely & accurately processing of all sales orders in the CRM, assisting the Revenue Ops analysts as needed
  • Ensure all new and renewal sales order and billing schedule information including terms, amounts, products etc. tie back to supporting documentation such as MSA’s & Order Forms; Create credits and adjustments as needed
  • Act as the Revenue Ops liaison to the Insurity Finance team
  • Resolve monthly reconciliation of more complex bookings vs. revenue differences
  • Participate with CRM data maintenance as required including weekly QC reporting cleanup
  • Identify and provide training of sales order process
  • Provide mentorship to team members
  • Assist with the integration of new acquisitions into CRM
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of our products and solutions
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
  • Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Revenue, Sales or Finance Ops role
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SaaS technology/software company
  • Active listener; Analytical and critical thinker
  • Detailed, organized, self-starter who can collaborate and work independently
  • Flexible, adaptable and can handle multiple priorities or tasks at once
  • Uses sound judgement; Accurately presents information to management
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (travel is minimal)
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, CaptivateIQ, Intacct ERP
  • MS Office: Outlook, Teams, Excel & Word
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Experience working in a remote environment


Where: This role can be performed either remotely or based in our Hartford office.

We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps. Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $77,00-$150,00, commensurate with experience.
