Major Responsibilities:
  • Under the direction of the L&D Manager, works closely with the client, broader L&D team, and HRBPs to develop and deploy learning solutions across the organization based on existing professional, leadership, & technical competencies.
  • Creates learning strategies including conceptual design, communications, and implementation planning (project deliverables, timelines, budgets) to address identified development needs for their assigned employee populations.
  • Employs a broad scope of influence for the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions.
  • Recommends learning solutions that address the root cause of performance gaps and/or needs for safety & environmental awareness in the workplace.
  • Delivers internally developed and outside purchased instructor-led courses related to various Operations, Safety, Environmental, and/or Leadership topics.
  • Identifies and collects internal learning resources throughout the organization and external resources to achieve the desired outcomes for their customers.
  • Anticipates change management issues and addresses them in the learning solution.
  • Works with Training Coordinators to ensure accurate employee training records in the LMS.
  • Acts as tier-two support on employee questions regarding learning offerings. Sources and negotiates with external content providers and/or internal content development team to address training requirements.
  • Manages vendor and contractor relationships. Evaluates learning solutions and provide reporting on the impact of learning to assigned clients.
  • Advises L&D management on appropriate measures of effectiveness for training and curricula.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Training and Development, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field required; may consider the professional experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 6 years of training/learning and development experience, including proven experience relevant to functional assignments. Experience in the energy industry/business is preferred.
