Legal Administrative Assistant (FULLY REMOTE)

Our busy legal firm is looking for an efficient, organized, and technically savvy Legal Assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals assist our clients and ensure we’re operating efficiently. As this position is fully remote, one of the requirements is a laptop and a reliable internet connection. Sales, customer service, or customer relationship management experience is very important, as are excellent phone communications skills. Attention to detail when reviewing and organizing records is important. Reliability and timeliness are essential as this position is fully remote. Some of the position responsibilities include but are not limited to: sales, client service, attorney support, light case management/organization, calendar management, and client intake. Compensation:

$18 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
  • Help with creating a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when necessary
  • Process client billing properly using daily time records with help from the accounting department
  • Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals
Qualifications:
  • At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks
  • Applicants must be able to type 50 words per minute or faster
  • Candidates must have worked with legal software, case management, and docketing programs
  • Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills
  • Associate’s degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe (specifically, converting documents into PDFs and editing those PDFs)
