We Require
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience performing specialized clerical duties which include transcription or secretarial experience
  • Post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
  • Experience working in the legal field with legal terminology
  • Experience in Start/Stop Universal Software
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
Job Contributions
  • Listens to recorded witness interviews and transcribes into written documents
  • Reviews documents for completeness and typographical and format errors
  • Communicates with attorneys and legal staff to process transcription requests in a timely manner
Working Conditions
  • Work transpires in a typical office setting.
  • Regular exposure to traumatic subject matter (crime scenes, accidents, etc.),
  • May work in close physical proximity with others, public contact and criminal defendants may be frequent occurrences
