The Licensed Dental Assistants provide chair-side and removed assistance to dental staff and assist with a variety of services within the clinic to support the care team and provide an exceptional patient experience.
Licensed Dental Assistant Overview
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Obtain, update, review and enter patient medical histories in electronic health record

Take patient vital signs, x-rays, and preliminary impressions
-
Prepare patients for visit, arranges instruments, and prepares dental materials for treatment/procedure.

Perform four-handed dentistry
-
Prepare and clean operatories
-
Sterilize instruments
-
Perform expanded functions as directed and required for patient care

Communicates effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team

Demonstrates ability to provide care or service by adjusting approaches to reflect the developmental level of the population being served

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
-
Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program
-
Current State of Minnesota issued Dental Assistant License
-
1+ years of experience in a dental office or clinic

Experience using EMR systems
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
-
Nitrous Oxide Certification
