Under the direction of the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses, incumbent will assist in the overall care of the patients entrusted in their care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completes the intake of patients in the EMR (Electronic medical record) with history taking and data entry, perform medication reconciliation on all patient in their care
• Assists the physician with procedures e.g.: ECG, Dressings, IV placement, Pt teaching
• Responsible for proper set up of equipment, instructing patients on procedures and provides discharge instruction for patients both verbally and written
• Administers IM and SQ injections
• Responsible to be familiar with the meds utilized in the area of practice they function
• Performs phlebotomy procedures and processes samples for the lab
• Able to start IV’s and maintain infusions with ability to recognize s/s of infiltration and report to RN, NP or Physician
• Maintains all RASCAL training (biohazard, billing, HIPPA) as required by CDMG/CCWM
• Able to effectively perform in emergency situations performing CPR as well as use of emergency equipment
• Responsible for patient and family safety, reporting incidents to the office manager and completing and incident report within a timely manner
• Assists the Doctor with the patients plan or care. Setting up procedures, handling and processing pathology
• Performs routine quality controls of all needed equipment and documents in QC book
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and assists in supply inventory
• Follows all policy and procedures as they relate to the department functioning in
• Maintains confidentiality of patients, employees and corporation related activities
• Customer Service-Ensures service excellence by becoming thoroughly familiar with the “Seven Principles of Behavior” and putting them into practice in carrying out job responsibilities
