Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse assists the interdisciplinary team in planning resident care and developing a written plan of care.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse reviews laboratory and other diagnostic study results. Reports abnormal findings to the physician.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse recognizes health problems and treatments that may cause pain and administers pharmacologic and complementary interventions to prevent discomfort.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse observe residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse gives complete and quality nursing care in accordance with established standards of Gerontological Nursing Practice, state and federal regulations and facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience as an LPN
• Long term care experience a plus!
• Must be vaccinated against COVID19
