American Medical Staffing, formerly FlexRN is proud to be a provider and partner with our premier client in the state of Missouri. We are currently seeking full-time Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), (P-LPC) to join our team.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker - State of Missouri Department of Corrections

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) - MUST be provisionally licensed in the state of Missouri

Multiple Locations: State of Missouri

• Chillicothe, MO

Type: Full - Time 26 week assignment with the option to convert to core staff for interested candidates.

Shift: Day 8 hour - Monday-Friday, 8:00A-4:30P - 40 hours per week

START DATE: 3-4 weeks due to clearance and on boarding for the DOC

LOCAL PAY:

• LPC - $53 per hour
• P-LPC - $48 per hour

TRAVEL PAY:

• LPC - $2645 weekly gross
• P-LPC - $2445 weekly gross

• Ideal candidates for this position enjoy working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team dedicated to improving the lives of the individuals in your care. You display strong therapeutic boundaries and clinical skills, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and are passionate about improving the well-being of a vulnerable population.

Education:

• Masters level degree or higher in behavioral/social science or related field from an accredited educational institution required

Experience:

• Two years' experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness preferred.
• Experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosing and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active mental health professional license Missouri: LCSW, LCSW (Under Supervision)
• Current CPR Certification

Requirements:

• Must show current tuberculosis documentation
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
