ReDiscover has an opening for a Team Leader to work part-time (24 hours a week), Thursday through Saturday from 11:00pm to 7:30pm at our Kansas City Assessment & Triage Center in Kansas City, MO.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the general direction of the Program Manager, the Team Leader provides leadership, clinical supervision, and evaluation for assigned staff members. Participates in evaluating and developing means of enhancing departmental performance as a member of the department leadership team.

The Team Leader serves as part of a larger support system providing crisis intervention, therapeutic intervention, and mental health/substance abuse education groups. These services help clients by providing them with tools to recognize problems and causal factors related to mental health disorders and substance abuse and develop alternative coping behaviors.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Establishes rapport with clients and staff
  • Ensures that all services are delivered in a manner that is welcoming, engaging, and respectful of all clients, visitors, and staff
  • Addresses client concerns and crisis situations while providing clinical guidance to staff
  • Trains staff on current initiatives and oversees the implementation of promising practices or quality improvement measures
  • Oversees staff performance, problem solves issues and addresses deficiencies, and when needed uses agency disciplinary actions
  • Ensures all services are delivered and documented in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
  • Coaches and supervises staff to meet agency billable expectations
  • Safeguards Protected Health Information written and electronically and maintains confidentiality
  • Provides oversight for documentation/billing to ensure it is accurate and meets all standards
  • Collaborate with other agencies
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Active clinical license in the State of Missouri which includes: Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting.
  • (2) years of manager or supervisor experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance use, physical challenges, intellectual disabilities, etc.).
