We are looking to add some new members to our team! We're accepting applications for line cooks to bring their talents to Pajarito in Saint Paul, MN. We're seeking applicants with great time management skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to exceptional service. We are currently looking to fill daytime and nighttime positions for this role.

Line cooks are at the heart of our operation, and are the reason we are able to provide our guests with unique and memorable culinary experiences. Our kitchen is where the magic happens, and we rely on hardworking staff who emphasize efficiency, consistency and an eye for detail.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Have genuine interest and desire to be involved in the hospitality industry.
  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook or prep cook.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness of your station and help others as needed.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, making sure you are prepared before service.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food, stock inventory appropriately as needed.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
  • Be a dependable employee to management and your coworkers.
  • Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift bus tubs and trays frequently weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
