About The Dewberry:

Offering 155 thoughtfully appointed rooms, world-class service and unparalleled views, The Dewberry occupies the former L. Mendel Rivers (circa 1964) federal building and pays homage to Charleston’s mid-century architectural splendor. The hotel is the result of owner John Dewberry’s vision of “Southern Reimagined,” which he developed over the course of an eight-year renovation and preservation of the building. Breakfast Server

Join our AM team as a Breakfast + Lunch Server in the Living Room at The Dewberry. Responsibilities will include delivering outstanding guest service to the guests and the team by offering timely, efficient, knowledgeable, warm and memorable service. Listen, record, communicate and deliver food & beverage items based on requests, guest history and preferences. Be enthusiastic and use your talents to sell our experience to our guests.

Details:

• Learn and retain food & beverage and menu knowledge
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders
• Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, polishing cutlery/glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
• Clear tables, carry plates to dishwashing area
• Execute fabulous guest service
• Prepare basic, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, water, iced tea, etc.
• Enthusiastically describe details of food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests
• Be a team player!

Requirements:

• Highly responsible and reliable morning person.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus on attention to guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times
