Summary: Drives truck, pulls trailers and drives box trucks to transport and deliver products between facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Drives tractor, pulls trailers and drives box trucks.
- Carries samples from plant to plant.
- Drives out of town when requested.
- Drives forklift within facility when needed.
- Assists in troubleshooting issues with trucks.
- Drives tractors/trailers and box trucks to shop as needed for repairs.
- Enters information into AS400.
- Makes trips to parts store as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience:
Class A CDL's required.
Licenses/Certificates:
Must have a valid driver's license with CLASS A CDL's without automatic transmission restrictions. Ability to obtain a Maples Industrial Truck Operators Permit.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must frequently climb steps to enter and exit trucks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
