TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Job Title: Logistics Clerk

Supervisor’s Title: Logistics Manager

Department: Warehouse

Location: 4441 Carolina Ave, Richmond, VA 23222

Description:

Join a company that knows the value of its employees and works with you to develop your career. We are currently seeking a Logistics Clerk at our Richmond, VA location. As a Logistics Clerk, you are responsible for assisting in scheduling inbound and outbound shipments as well as facilitating the communication between our internal team and the freight companies. Attention to detail is needed at this position.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Shipment entry and verification with our freight broker partners
• Assisting in the management and maintaining of the internal shipping schedule
• Assisting with the internal and external communication for shipping and receiving updates
• Collection and data reconciliation of load sheets for internal product transfers between warehouses
• Assisting in inventory accounting and distribution
• Assisting in the backing up the Logistics Manager’s duties when they are unavailable
• Back up for the shipping desk

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Microsoft Office
• Customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements:

• Be on your feet for 10-12 hours
• Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
• Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments
• Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
• Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
