Lumber Yard Worker/ Forklift Operator Job at Decks and Docks
Opening for a Yard Worker at our local lumber yard.
Duties will include but are not limited to: keeping an orderly inventory within the yard, receiving daily inventory shipments and verifying counts on Bill of Ladings, loading delivery trucks for daily shipments, and reporting directly to the Branch Manager with any issues, discrepancies, damaged material, etc.
The ideal candidate will be working with the customer base on a day-to-day basis. Customer service and a positive attitude are of the utmost importance. The candidate should be willing to engage in a fast-paced atmosphere and be a team player. Must be on time and willing to work.
*Will be driving a company vehicle 25% of the day.
- Lumber/Building Materials industry experience is highly preferred
- Operate a forklift (Moffett/ Piggyback experience is preferred)
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Have a clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
- CDL B is a plus but not required
**Pay is based on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
