Liquid Automation is currently seeking a Mechanically Inclined/Machine Builders in Shelby Twp, MI
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with management and engineering on job progress, issues, and resolutions
- Fits and assembles components according to assembly schematics, manuals, and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines using hand tools and power tools
- Analyzes assembly schematics and specifications manual and plan machine building operations
- Lays out hole locations, drills and taps holes on parts for assembly
- Aligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist, bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts using hand tools, rivet gun, and welding equipment
- Verifies alignment and tolerance of moving parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators and thickness gauges
- Assembles, sets-up, and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer’s specification
Commonly used skills:
-Mechanical assembly using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools.
-Reading blueprints - the ability to read electrical, previous build photographs, mechanical drawings, etc.
-Crane operation and forklifting
