Nexeo HR is looking for a Machine Operator for an evening shift opportunity with a local custom fabrication shop. The candidate will be responsible for tool setup, cutting and prepping material, washing parts, inspecting product, maintaining a clean work area, and helping in the shop where needed. This person must have strong attention to detail, be able to read blueprints, and handle a heavy workload.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools and run machine to assure efficiency; may operate mills, lathes, punch press, press brake, laser cutter and other machinery as needed to produce metal components
• Anticipate material needs to assure maximum run time
• Modify parts and materials to improve overall production
• Test completed equipment and product to detect and remove defects
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Assist where needed if different areas of the shop

Qualifications

• Previous experience or familiarity with CNC machinery or other related field
• Familiarity with machine and tool setup (tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and precision measuring tools)
• Ability to understand documents, procedures and written instruction
• Great communication skills both verbal and written
• Handle heavy physical work load; may include standing, walking, sit/climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, frequently lift and/or move material up to 75 pounds.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail and be self-driven
• Must be adaptable with the desire to learn and grow

Pay
$16-$22 per hour (DOE)

Schedule
Swing Shift | Monday – Thursday | 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM
Day Shift | Monday - Thursday | 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM
