What You’ll Do
The Machine Shop Associate will fabricate various precision metal components used in the aerospace industry.

• Review work orders and drawings to fabricate precision metal components
• Safely measure, cut, shear, bend, form, grind, file, sand, polish, sand blast and test parts
• Use a manual mill for drilling and milling as needed
• Use a manual lathe as needed
• Performs all duties in accordance with safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education and Experience: technical school graduate orone to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Read basic measuring devices including micrometers and calipers
• Must be able to lift between 25 - 35 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally between 35 - 50 pounds. Considerable standing, stooping and bending is required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
