The Machinist II will have Quality, EH&S as well as Continuous Improvement training and responsibilities as well in this role.

Produces machine parts by programming, assembling, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) or manual machine (Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and other specialized CNC and manual machines).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Produces machined components using CNC or manual machines
• Must be able to accurately read blueprints and comprehend standard operating procedures
• Ability to saw material
• Set up tools and fixtures and adjust/operate machine controls
• Perform cleaning, organizing, and preventative maintenance
• Inspect/measure and locate product key characteristics using caliper, micrometer, and pin gages
• Use of gages and height stand
• Ability to run multiple machines
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a standing position up to 10 hours per day
• Meet or exceed required output hours
• Perform 5S and FOD audits; Inspect the work of others
• Recommend and implement cost reductions
• Adhere to all Collins rules and codes of conduct
• May perform other job duties as required and available for overtime as necessary

Basic Qualifications:

• HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
