Description Overview
We are looking for a reliable Dispatcher to act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track the activities.
The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and remain calm and composed, especially in emergencies. In addition, you must be able to multitask and take the appropriate action with little supervision.
The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.
Scope of the Role
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls, recorded significant and made Work orders for the task
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions with the mechanic.
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
- Use radio, phone, or computer to send mechanics or crews to the production line or area need it.
- Monitor the status of the work in progress to coordinate priorities while working with the supervisor and the planer
- Provide an update on the activities in progress
- Enter data in the computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information
- Work and support the MRO team and activities
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or relevant position
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods (CAD)
- Fast typing with expertise in data entry
- Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations
- Proficient in English (oral and written) (Spanish is a plus)
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Sound judgment and critical thinking
- High school diploma
Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000
