Maintenance Engineer I - Engineering - Northwest Health Porter - Full Time Job at Northwest Health Porter
Perform general maintenance job functions. Assist Maintenance Technician II and Trades, in learning, and task completion capacity. Technician I is an entry level position into Engineering Services, but candidates must have a strong mechanical, and technical aptitude, along with a willingness to learn and advance. Basic maintenance skills are required. May be required to perform grounds keeping duties including outside trash pickup, snow removal, lawn mowing, and general property maintenance. Must maintain and use, all appropriate safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, face shield, and coveralls.
Education:
- High School Diploma, GED
Experience:
- Numerical ability is needed to make calculations for installation and repair of equipment.
- Must be able to measure, cut, drill shape, and paint material.
- Knowledge of tool names and proper usage.
- Must be able to organize, prioritize, and schedule Technician I duties.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital or healthcare environment preferred in a relevant non-clinical role.
- Trade School, or Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing credentialing (any level) preferred.
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of mechanical aptitude, mechanical concepts, and building construction basics preferred.
- Has a successful record of adding value to organizations through the proactive analysis and resolution of potential barriers that may negatively affect the organization.
- Demonstrates a record of significantly improving patient experience.
- Possesses superior communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment, and be able to effectively direct front and back-end work processes and personnel toward a common goal.
