Maintenance/ Instrumentation Specialist - Water Resource Recovery Facility Job at City of East Lansing
This position performs skilled work involving the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation devices found in wastewater treatment and collection systems.
Maintain accurate and complete records, troubleshoot problems as necessary, maintain a clean and safe work environment. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Required to be trained and work in confined spaces. Perform a variety of general maintenance work of the plant and pumping stations. Provide training as needed to other union staff.

Qualifications
Knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, PLC’s, and SCADA systems. Ability to install, program, and provide start-up for instrumentation components. Knowledge of computer systems and relevant software. Analyze and troubleshoot control issues. Familiarity with electrical safety. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
Special Requirements
Forty (40) hours of relevant technical course work or 1 year of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or treatment facility required. Must possess a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver’s license, with an excellent driving record. Ability to maintain a Michigan Class “D” Municipal Wastewater operator’s license within 2 years of eligibility. ISA CSST Level 1 Certification preferred.
