What You'll Do
- Monitor and inspect equipment for defects. Properly remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power tools
- Typical repairs include but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repairing components, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, cooling systems, gearboxes and various types of rotating assemblies
- Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference plans, locations of surfaces, machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Determine grades and sizes of bolts, pipes, tubing, cables, and wires
- Perform basic welding and grinding or simple burning and machining operations as required to adjust or repairs
- Operate mobile equipment such as Forklifts, overhead cranes, etc
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Use SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actions
- Perform all facets of the repair safely while utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools at different heights or adverse conditions
- Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
- Work safely to prevent on the job injuries by following safety rules and regulations at all times including proper wearing of company PPE
What You'll Need
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction and or manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Possess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, electrical, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, fluid pumping systems, and heat transfer
- Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process
- Must understand materials, cutting tools, tool speed and material feed rates, coolant requirements and machining techniques
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, layout projects, locate prints and use maintenance technical manuals
- Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication and equipment maintenance preferred
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift which may include weekends and holiday
- Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
- Ability to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
- Push and pull up to 90 lbs and carry 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication
Your Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
- Machinist certificate or equivalent experience
